Mr. Miner was named Consul of Senegal and in 1973 he became one of the first members of the National Council for United States-China Trade
Working part time at manufacturing company while attending college, after graduation, Mr. Sakoff stayed on with the company and after three years became Vice President and partner. In 1970, he founded Financial Marketing Corporation ("FMC"), one of the first companies to package national celebrities as a "media spokespeople" for banks and savings and loans. Due to Mr. Sakoff's efforts, FMC successfully acquired representation agreements with such personalities as Arthur Godfrey, Carol Channing, Sandler & Young, John Cameron Swayze, et. Al.
Along the way he also founded or acquired interests in additional media enterprises (now operated by his sons), real estate holdings, a home improvement/construction company and a publicly traded media company. In 1994, he CO-founded Cambridge Energy Group.
